Under Construction
Welcome, new to the site? No problem, we all had to start at square one.
This is just a round-a-bout tutorial you can read through to get the jist of the game. All the information was provided by my own experience and might not be exactly correct.
Not all questions can be answered here. A lot of the knowledge can be gathered just by exploring and playing the game!
Sn0obz - Thanks for teh help. :3

Getting Started
1. First, you're going to register to The Pokemon League here.
2. Create an appropriate username, a safe password, and enter a valid e-mail address.
3. Now! Choose your pokemon! Don't fret about what pokemon is stronger than which, because each has their own strengths and weaknesses.
Just choose your favorite from the list, because you'll always have a chance to collect the others later on in the game.
4. Appearance: This is what you're going to look like to the other players on your profile and friend list. Simple really. What character fits your personality the most?

Knowing the Rules
1. This is a PG-13 rated website. - No graphic material may be posted. No foul language or sexual innuendos. Everything is family oriented; things like racial slurring, harassment and flaming, etc, are not tolerated and not allowed. If you're not sure if you should say it, it's better left unsaid.
2. You're only allowed 2 accounts. - Yes, you may make more than one account, but you cannot trade between accounts. This is called IP transfers and is not allowed. It's considered a way of cheating, to get ahead in the game. If you're living with a family member who also plays this game, please tell an admin as soon as possible. Same goes, you may not trade with them either.
3. No advertising. This include talking about ANY online game that other people can take interest in and navigate to. Do not post links or urls, and do not post website Titles. The game talk should be kept TPL.
4. No Staff Impersonation. This is a high offense and can result in a immediate ban. Under no circumstances are you to pretend, mock, or create an account to mimick an Admin or Moderator. Not for fun and games, not for spite. Not at all.
5. You are responsible for what happens to your account. Read the rules and use your head. Not all players are your friend, and people WILL try to take advantage of you. Keep your password safe, and know what you're trading and how you're trading it. If you're scammed, there's nothing we can do about it. If your account is stolen or hacked, tough. You should have paid more attention.
Everyone has a chance to get a warning if you accidently break a rule, just make sure you are not persistant in the act and you won't be punished.
No one wants to be kicked out of their favorite game.

Making Friends
It's not hard at all to make friends on The Pokemon League, you just need to be patient and friendly. Some good places to start is introducing yourself on the forums, then moving into the in-game chatroom and meeting people Live there. Find common interests, either in pokemon or the places you live, the food you like to eat. Create fun challenges and trade with new people to discover that it really is a big world out there with plenty of fish to catch.
Note. The chatroom and forum buttons are always located at the top of the page!
Want to Add someone as a friend?
All you have to do is click Explore tab on the left hand side --> Search --> then type in their username to navigate to their profile. It'll have a fairly visable link that says "Add as a Friend."
After clicking this, you must wait for the other person to accept the request, which is located on their profile in the Notices section towards the bottom.

Collecting Pokemon
There are three different ways to collect pokemon.
1. Routes. Click Explore tap --> Explore link, and it will bring you to a page with a big area map of the routes, and links to click below it.
The first link will take you to pokemon, the next link will take you to another route or city.
Be forewarned! If you are not a Premium user, you can only travel one city per day.

2. Maps. Below the routes there are a series of Islands that you can purchase tickets to go to. Each Island posseses rare pokemon unique to that area, and one ticket will last 24 hours.
Of course, being that there are 12 maps total, only some maps show up on certain days of the month.

3. Trading. Sometimes you can't be so lucky and catch every pokemon you want, but other people have. This is where trading comes into play! Tons of players trade their pokemon every day, and you can search through them by clicking Explore tab --> Trade Offers Search. If you don't have an pokemon to trade with, not to worry.
They can also be bought with Cash. Some pokemon, like Legendaries, are more expensive than others, but it gives you a goal to save up for if you really want it.

Pokeballs
Each pokeball has a different percentage rate of catching what you throw it at.
Poke balls can catch lvls 1-10 easily without damage.
Great balls are better, and can catch more pokemon that are lvl 11-20 fairly easy.
Ultra balls are even better! With a rate of catching lvls 21-50.
Master balls are the ultimate catching tool and will not fail at catching the pokemon on the first try.
These rates are not definite and do not apply to Legendary pokemon.
You best bet to catch one of those is to use a Master ball.

Making Money
There are many ways to make Cash on TPL,
and the two easiest are Battling Trainers and Selling pokemon.
1. Explore tab --> Battles. It's best to start from Very Easy, and then work your way up the levels of difficulty. Each trainer you can defeat, you get reward money. Every day, you can gather the reward money from each trainer only once, then you have to wait to battle them again for more the next day. There is no limit on how many times you can fight a trainer and how much EXP you can recieve.

2. Selling pokemon. Have you caught a rare pokemon, such as a Shiny or a Legendary?
If you want money more than the pokemon itself, you can offer it up for Sale in the chatroom or in the Forum, using the appropriate sections.
The more you experience selling pokemon, the more you'll get the feel for what the economy is like. Some will go down in price the more they're caught, and others will go up when they get more rare. Be sure you know what you're selling and what it's worth before accepting any offers, to make sure you're getting the right deal. Selling is the same as trading, you're just offering up money instead of adding pokemon.

Other ways to make money is to sell your skills. Can you draw, make graphics? Are you a frequent donator to the game and have a bit extra coins lying around? Whatever the case, just use your imagination and stay within the rules.

Premium Accounts
To get a Premium Account, you need to donate REAL money to the site as a donation. Donations help pay for the servers the site is on and buy new ones so that as more people join, everything doesn't get all laggy and no one can play because it's slow. Good, paid servers = fast play.
What are the perks of a Premium Account?
1. You recieve a Bike! This allows you to travel the routes at break-neck speed without getting tired.
2. Your appearance rate for Shiny, Ghost, Metal, and Dark type pokemon increase! These are worth more than normal pokemon, and you even have better chances to find Shiny Legendaries!
3. You get an awesome Limited Edition pokemon. These are extremely rare and hard to find in-game, and you get the current one for free when you donate.
